FIND YOUR PURPOSE

Virtual Mental Health Care and Sober Living, Under One Team

We treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma through structured virtual care you can join from anywhere in California. And when someone needs a stable place to live while they do it, we help arrange sober living housing in Orange County.

One team, one plan, both sides connected.

Structured Virtual Care

Our virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers structured, therapist-led support for individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. Flexible, private, and accessible anywhere in California.

Insurance-Friendly Access

We work with major insurance providers and handle the verification for you. We’ll walk you through what your plan covers before you commit to anything. See how coverage works.

Trauma-Informed by Design

Our trauma-informed therapists specialize in evidence-based treatment for PTSD, childhood trauma, and complex trauma — all available through our HIPAA-compliant virtual platform.

Care That Doesn't Stop at the Screen

Virtual treatment works best when the rest of someone’s life is stable, and that gap is what we built around. Our clinical program runs statewide across California, and our sober living homes in Orange County give people a structured, sober place to live while they’re in it. Same team, same treatment plan, two halves that actually talk to each other.

In Orange County, that means moving between housing and treatment without handing your history to a new provider. Anywhere else in California, you get the same clinical program from home, with care that follows you if you travel or relocate within the state.

Flexible, Personalized Approach

How Our Program Works

Adults across California come to us for structured mental health care that fits a real life. You’ll work with California-licensed clinicians who schedule around your commitments rather than the other way around.

Care is built to hold up after the program ends, which is why we put as much weight on skills and follow-through as on the sessions themselves.

Services Offered

Why People Choose Us

Our Virtual IOP programs for California residents are tailored to help adults facing mental health challenges, behavioral issues, and family system concerns. Together, we can transform lives and create a world where people are empowered to overcome adversity, build fulfilling lives, and contribute positively to their communities.

Clinical Program and Housing, One Team

Our virtual IOP and our Orange County sober living homes are run by the same organization, so your treatment plan and your living situation stay connected.

Independently Accredited

Higher Purpose Recovery is accredited by The Joint Commission (ID 709594), which means our safety and clinical protocols have been reviewed by an outside body.

Trauma-Informed as the Default

Trauma work isn’t an add-on here. Our clinicians are trained in trauma-focused care and it shapes how groups are run.

Statewide, With Continuity

Care follows you anywhere in California, including if you move or travel within the state.

Voices of Recovery

Inside the Program

Care starts with an assessment, then a treatment plan built around the specific problem you’re bringing us. From there you’re in therapist-led groups and individual sessions with California-licensed clinicians.

Program Structure and Scheduling

Groups run Monday through Thursday in the evenings, so work and family don’t have to come apart to make room for treatment. Program length depends on the person, and your clinician adjusts the plan as things change.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does virtual care actually work?

You'll be matched with a California-licensed clinician and meet by secure video on a HIPAA-compliant platform. Sessions are scheduled ahead. You'll need a phone, tablet, or computer and a private space, and if video drops we can continue by phone.

What do you treat?

We treat anxiety, depression, PTSD and complex trauma, bipolar-spectrum conditions, and the family and relationship strain that often comes with them. We also support people managing mental health alongside substance use.

We aren't a crisis service. If you're in immediate danger, call or text 988.

Who provides the therapy?

California-licensed clinicians, with clinical oversight across the program. Your care team is matched to what you're working on rather than assigned at random.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We work with major providers including Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, Blue of California, TRICARE, and Magellan Health. Coverage varies by plan, so send us your details or call and we'll verify it.

What happens after the program ends?

Care steps down rather than stopping. Many people move from IOP into our outpatient program, and we'll help arrange sober living or other local support if that's part of the plan. Family involvement is part of it where it helps.

Do you offer housing?

Yes. We run sober living homes in Orange County for people who need a structured, sober place to live while they're in treatment. Housing and clinical care are coordinated by the same team.
