Julia Meyers, MA, AMFT, APCC

Julia Meyers has always noticed what others miss — the subtle shifts in tone, the unspoken tension in a room, the emotions running just beneath the surface. From an early age, her deep sensitivity and attunement to people around her shaped a natural pull toward understanding human behavior and emotional experience. That path led her to Saint Mary’s College of California, where she earned dual master’s degrees — an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and an MA in Professional Clinical Counseling, both with honors. Her undergraduate work in Psychology at Sonoma State University, completed magna cum laude with honors, laid the foundation for a career built on curiosity, insight, and genuine connection.

Julia specializes in working with highly sensitive people, neurodivergent individuals, and Gen Z clients — teens, young adults, and deep feelers who have often been told they’re “too much” or struggle to feel understood by those around them. Clients consistently describe her as having “big sister energy”: warm and no-nonsense, attuned to what’s said and what isn’t, and skilled at helping people untangle intense emotions and reconnect with their own instincts. Her approach blends insight-oriented therapy with practical guidance, exploring the patterns in relationships, reactions, and self-talk not to overanalyze, but to create clarity — and from clarity, confidence. Julia also holds a unique specialty working with siblings of individuals with special needs, a population that is often overlooked in traditional therapy settings. Whether in session or in her own life, Julia is a believer in the power of intentional self-reflection, and she brings that same thoughtfulness to every client she works with.
